The Sultan Mizan Royal Foundation was launched on July 19, 2005. His Majesty Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin is its Founder, Patron and Chairman of the Foundation |

The foundation is committed to bringing about greater socio-economic progress and improvements in well-being for the benefit of the people of Terengganu in particular and all Malaysians in general |

| Malaysian Band Association (MBA) |

The Malaysian Band Association (MBA) was established with a view to be the parent body for bands in Malaysia which consists of Brass Bands, Symphonic Bands, Concert Bands and Wind Bands. The MBA first embarked on its maiden programme with the organizing of Inter Varsity Wind Orchestra Competition in 2008.

Following the success of the Inter Varsity Wind Orchestra Competition in 2008, the latter was then renamed as Malaysia Wind Orchestra Competition as the competition opened its doors to secondary schools to participate in 2009.
Amongst the objectives of the Malaysian Band Association are as follows:-

To manage, organize and coordinate all activities in relation to band activities throughout Malaysia; |
• |
To promote, develop and enhance the skills of band members and their musical instruments through training as well as coaching courses and leadership programmes; |
• |
To oversee the general welfare of its members |
• |
4. To inculcate friendship and foster greater appreciation for teamwork amongst its members as well as other registered agencies and organizations that shares common ideals and aspirations; |
• |
To represent Malaysia in any international band competition respectively |
